At the conclusion of this WebQuest, students should be able to perform the following activities:
1. Define and use the vocabulary associated with this unit.
2. Describe distinguishing characteristics of Monarch butterflies.
3. Describe the differences between complete and incomplete metamorphosis
4. Identify the stages of a Monarch's metamorphosis and describe the appearance of each stage.
5. Explain the reasons for the tagging program.
6. Explain the impact of humans, economics, and environmental changes on the Monarch population.
7. Show the migration routes of Western and Eastern Monarch butterflies.
8. Describe the difference between the Western and Eastern Monarch's habitats.
9. Tag a Monarch butterfly for scientific study (with teacher assistance).
