Permission to post student photos on the Web

  • Explanation: The privacy of students and minors is protected by law, and this applies to photographs taken in school and posted in public. Since the World Wide Web is a publicly viewable media, teachers need to obtain permission from parents or guardians in order to display pictures of students on a website. Since I believe it is valuable for students, parents, and the school to highlight and share our classroom work and experiences with the community, I am offering parents the opportunity to give permission to display photos from class and fieldtrips on the Web. In order to protect student identity, no student names will be used online. You can take a look at examples of previous photos on this website, and should there ever be a photo you or your child object to being posted, please let me know and I will promptly remove it.

  • Directions: Below is a link to a webpage with a permission slip form. If you would like to fill out the form, please click on the link and print out the form. Fill it out, and return it to Ms. Simmons. Let us know if you have any question or concerns.
