Place holders - this is an empty box which identifies the placement of text or objects on a slide in a presentation.
Slide view - PowerPoint allows you to view slides in several different ways. In slide view, you view a whole slide.
Thumbnails - All slides are displayed, as in the slide sorter view.
Slide show view - Each slide fills the entire screen and is viewed as a slide show.
Outline view - shows each slide as an outline.
