Vocabulary List 3 - Computer Applications
Tab- this allows the user to set a stopping point on the typing line. Each time you press the Tab key, the insertion point advances to the next setting.
Insert Mode - allows you to insert text in a document at the insertion point. Existing text moves to the right.
Overtype Mode - existing text does not move to the right, the text is typed over at the insertion point.
Comment - allows you to insert hidden notes that can be read on screen. They can be hidden when the document is printed, or printed within the document.
Enclosure Notation - this is used at the end of a letter to indicate there is something included in the envelope with the letter.
