Vocabulary List 11- Computer Applications
Object- an item that you can select and manipulate. An object includes clip art, photographs, charts, shapes, drawn lines, sound and video clips - items that will contribute to the visual impact of the document.
Clip Art- a collection of ready-made illustrations that are available when you install MS Word. You can also copy images from the Internet or purchase them on a CD or disk.
Text Wrap- controls how text wraps, select the object and choose a text-wrap option in the Layout tab of the Format Picture dialog box or click the button on the Picture toolbar.
Sizing Handles- sizes an object. Click on the object to display the sizing handles; then drag on a handle or set the size in the appropriate dialogue box.
Rotate Handle- rotates an image. Click and drag the green rotate handle left or right to the appropriate angle. As you drag the handle, a dotted box indicates the placement.
