HomeworkPractice outside of class is encouraged if you have access to a computer, but not mandatory. There is occasional homework such as studying for quizzes and tests. If a students needs or wants to stay after school or come in early to catch up, talk to me and I will be happy to schedule a time. AbsencesIf a student is absent, a list of missed assignments is posted on the board at all times. Assignments will be kept in a central location available to students at all times. It is the student's responsibility to check to see what work is missing and make arrangements for making it up. Students have five (5) days to make up work after an absence per Montgomery County Policy. Late WorkI will accept late work up to three (3) days after the due date--or up to three (3) days after the five (5) excused days set forth by Montgomery County Policy for absences. Each late day will reduce the grade by one letter. After three (3) days, the final grade will become a zero. Supplies · Pen/pencil · Notebook paper · Box of tissue · CMS Agenda · .75 to cover cost of a binder Each student should bring in .75 cents to cover the cost of a 1/2" 3-ring binder, which will be provided. If a student loses or destroys the notebook they will be required to bring in a replacement notebook. The 3-ring binder will be kept in the room to keep and organize work and notes. These notebooks will be checked periodically throughout the semester for a participation grade. Students need to bring their agenda, a pencil/pen and paper daily in order to take notes, keep track of upcoming assignments and do class work. If a student doesn't have a pencil/pen and paper, two (2) points per day will be deducted from the participation grade. Two (2) points will also be subtracted if students do not bring their agendas to class. I have a class website with information posted that you are welcomed to visit.
