Being a good citizen, taking part in your community, understanding how your government works and being able to participate in that government is the purpose of eighth grade civics. Cyber Discussion Cafe:Here is a place for teachers to use for classroom discussions. Teachers need to contact me to sign up a time and to get log in names and passwords for the discussion. Try is out, it will enhance may classroom activities.Click here to go to the Cyber Discussion Cafe National History Day:NHD is a way for students in grades 6-12 to study history and learn about issues, ideas, people, and events that interest them. Students choose a topic to study for the year. In the spring, these students present their projects, historical papers, exhibits, performances, or documentaries, at the regional competition at Radford University. The winners move on to the state competition in Williamsburg, VA and then those winners participate at national level on campus of the University of Maryland in College Park, MD.![]()
