Behind some beavers' old lodge, this site is right in the alder thicket that encircles the Pond. Behind here are massive white pines and oaks, blueberries, and green briar. Near here is a picnic area and on the uphill side one can get a clear feeling for this drier side of the Pond. Ducks and deer often walk along this area in the winter time.
