To embed an object means to put into a page or other object such that the content of the embedded object is displayed, rather than just linked, when the page or object is rendered in, for example, a web browser or drawing. Note that in the Bridge system, unlike HTML and other Web systems, a web page can be embedded into another web page. This is very handy for compiling content from distributed sources or pages where, for example, you might want to be able to change the content in one place and have the changes diplayed in a variety of locations.
