Glen Alton

Welcome to Glen Alton, a conservation education center located in Giles County on the Eastern Divide Ranger District, Jefferson National Forest. This is an electronic commons created for teachers, volunteers and visitors to Glen Alton. The purpose of this web site is assist educators and parents in getting more of America's youth outside and interested in the environment.

Directions to Glen Alton:
Take Rt. 460 to just west of Pembroke.
Turn onto Rt. 635 (Big Stony Creek Road) Follow 635 for 13 miles.
You will see a sign on the right that says "Nettle Hollow Road",
immediately after that sign take a left onto Glen Alton Road (Rt. 722).
Follow this gravel road across a small bridge,
bear to the right and follow to the parking lot.
