Triangulation Triangulating is a mathematical process used to find where lightning is, in the *tracking* process. The first station is x meters away from the lightning, so an imaginary circle can be drawn, with a radius of x, and the station as the centerpoint. The lightning struck somewhere on this circle. The same thing is done with the two other stations, and the lightning strike was where the three circles meet.
